One of the overarching themes on Corporate Catwalk is maximizing your wardrobe. This goes along with today’s look. I’m wearing several staple pieces (new and old) from closet. The scarf, trench, loafers and satchel are a few things that I picked up last week. The shirt, denim and sunglasses are part of my daily wardrobe. This is a look that I wore while running errands in the city. The loafers and satchel are good when taking the train and carrying a bunch of bags on the subway.
The silk scarf is from Club Monaco, it’s not available online, but here is an identical one from Forever 21. When it comes to these square silk scarves, I’ve seen every color and pattern, imaginable. The opted for the navy, since it acts as a neutral with my wardrobe. You might also like this style here and here.
The oversized trench is from Club Monaco (and currently on sale)! It’s a little different than most of my structured trench coats. The material is lightweight and makes the perfect overcoat for those rainy days in the city. I also love this one here, here and here.
As for the pale pink loafers, they’re ideal for commuting to work and running around the city. If you ever want trendy flats to wear to work, check out the collection at Zara. When I wear these faux snakeskin flats, I always get compliments on the color and texture.
Since it was time to switch out my standard “workbag”, I decided to go with this pebbled leather satchel from Coach. If you haven’t seen the newest arrivals at Coach, check them out here (I also picked up this satchel in black). The only con about this bag is that it’s not big enough for my computer, but on the other hand it can be worn just about anywhere.
As for my staple pieces, my white button-down shirt from Ann Taylor is the perfect length to be worn tucked or untucked with denim, skirts and trousers. I also wore it here, here and here. My AG distressed denim are typically worn on the weekend, but you can also seen them worn here and here. If you’re 5’4 and below, I’d highly recommend AG denim ankle leggings. They’re the perfect length for short girls! And finally my black Prada sunglasses, that were worn here, here and here. After three years, I somehow misplaced my original pair (I’m still convinced they’re somewhere in my apartment). Luckily enough, I found the exact same pair on TheRealReal.
